Double Row Bearings

Double Row bearings are ideally suited to applications where carrying loads make a single row inadequate. Double Row bearings utilize two rows of balls back to back. They have deep groove raceways with a high degree of contact between the ball and raceways. Double Row bearings are capable of handling both radial and axial loads and are designed for applications where higher load carrying capacity is necessary. The Boca Bearing Company offers a full line of miniature standard and ceramic hybrid, doubel row bearings.

Note the 5000 Series Double Row Bearings are radial double row bearings, while the 3000, 4200, 4300 series are angular double row bearings.

  • Stainless Steel Series

Stainless Steel 440C Series Double Row Bearings contain a martensitic-type stainless steel used extensively in bearing applications that require hardness, dimensional stability, corrosion resistance and toughness. Stainless Steel 440C is resistant to corrosion from fresh water, steam, crude oil, gasoline, perspiration, alcohol, blood and food stuffs. Stainless Steel does contain some carbon so it is still slightly magnetic and may eventually rust over time.

  • Chrome Steel Series

The Double Row Chrome Steel 52100 Series Radial Bearings contain chromium and, due to thorough hardening, have excellent surface quality and high load capability. 52100 Chrome Steel is a hardened bearings steel this is a universal material for many applications.

  • Ceramic Hybrid Series

Boca Bearings has an assortment of Ceramic Double Row. Ceramic Hybrid Bearings have steel races and Si3N4 ceramic balls. Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) Ceramic Balls are formed from a new material suitable for applications where high loads, high speeds and extreme temeratures are factors. Silicon Nitirde is non-porous, non-magentic, non corrosive, lighter than steel and, in ball form, is harder than steel. Because ceramic balls are non-porous they are virtually frictionless and are capable of spinning faster than steel balls.
