This week was a busy one. I added a hexagonal piece around the motor to mount the wheel to it. After many different designs and sizes, I decided to leave a hole in the middle to allow for a screw to hold the wheel securely in place.

In addition, holes in the base for the motors were added. This allows for the motors to reside inside of the base and the smaller screw holes keeps them in place. In order for the motors to fit inside, I had to use a Dremel with a sanding bit. This allowed me to make a smooth round finish so the motor wouldn’t roll.
Overall, this project is nearing completion and almost ready to start driving. Throwing mechanisms will be added after.
