Allow us to introduce you to Millie Hart, a brilliant racer hailing from the UK. Millie tells us that her passion and destiny is to race! “From a young age, I’ve always had a keen interest in motorsport. My dad raced when he was a teenager as well so you could definitely say that it’s in my blood!” That racing blood propels Millie to reach speeds of up to 80mph! 

She recalls “When I was 13, my dad took me to an indoor karting circuit and I absolutely loved it. We then spent all winter testing a fast kart and then began racing in a junior kart when I was 14 (in 2019). Since then, the sport has been my passion!” Millie spends countless hours on the track to improve on her skills. 

Millie jokes that “the thing I love most about motorsport is the relationships you build with everyone around you. People are so supportive and are always willing to help (unless you’re faster than them of course)!” Millie strives to be the fastest racer in the track even when facing some challenges. 

She explains, “The main problem I face when racing is my gender. Because I’m a girl, people assume that we will be less talented than the boys. It’s a shame for people to think this way because it’s not the case. I overcame this issue by showing others my skill on the track in order for them to respect me as a driver.” Regrettably,  Out of the more than 900 drivers who have raced in an F1 Grand Prix, only two have been women.

Yet, in a male dominated sport Millie’s tough character and dedication to her craft are unshakable and with steadiness and focus she has managed to make her mark. 

Millie attended the Daniel Ricciardo Karting Series founded by the F1 racer Daniel Ricciardo where she finished 18th of 32 and second rookie. Since then she has continued to race, achieving great successes. 

Millie tells us how she heard about Boca Bearings “I heard about Boca Bearings on an Instagram advert and I just had to contact them for partnership! Since then, the communication has been great and I’ve loved every minute of the partnership and I can’t wait to see where our journey leads!” We are beyond thrilled that Millie took the initiative to reach out to us for 1) we have a very robust sponsorship program and 2) we are committed to seeing more young ladies breaking ground in this sport.

We are glad to hear our bearings are helping a new generation of young racers achieve their goals. 

For Millie the future looks bright. She explains “my future plans in motorsport are to be a front runner for the majority if not the whole season. My future plans for my partnership with Boca Bearings is to carry it on for as long as possible as they are a supportive company who sell great products!” Boca Bearings is definitely supportive of young women breaking down barriers.
