In honor of the 53rd anniversary of the first moon landing, I printed this 3D Moon Lamp. This type of print is called Lithophane. These types of prints usually use White filament to allow light to shine through the less dense areas, the darker areas are thicker and more dense to show detail. I used Hatchbox PLA at .15mm layer height. The total print time for the base and the moon was about 58 hours. The base holds a ceramic electrical socket that uses a standard LED 40 watt bulb.
