The Ceramic Hybrid Machine Tool Spindle Bearings have 52100 Series steel races  and Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) balls. The benefits offered by Ceramic Hybrid Machine Spindle Bearings include longer bearing life thanks to the ceramic balls eliminating the possibility of cold welding between the ball and race. Ceramic balls operate at lower vibration levels than steel balls, offering higher spindle rigidity. And because ceramic balls allow the bearings to operate at lower temperatures there is a longer lubrication life meaning there is less frequent maintenance required.
